Baseball Recap: Jamestown Finds Home Field Redemption Against Lafayette

There's no place like home for Jamestown, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lafayette Rams 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Rams back in March, they had to take a 9-8 defeat.

Jamestown pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lafayette, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-8 record.
