Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Paetow's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cinco Ranch, Paetow was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Seven Lakes Spartans. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Paetow got a great performance from Diego Garcia as he tossed 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Garcia a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Adniel Quiles Torres and Yarel Delgado did most of the damage at the plate: Quiles Torres scored two runs, while Delgado scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Paetow is 7-2-1 when Delgado posts two or more runs, but 2-8 otherwise. Matthew Scott was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Paetow has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Seven Lakes, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-8.

Paetow will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
