Volleyball Recap: Lytle Takes a Loss

Lytle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the McCollum Cowboys. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2017.

Lytle may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored ten points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-10.

Lytle's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for McCollum, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Lytle has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Carroll on the 28th. As for McCollum, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Burbank on the 28th.
