Basketball Game Preview: Shawnee Wolves vs. Bishop Kelley Comets

The Shawnee Wolves will challenge the Bishop Kelley Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Shawnee is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Booker T. Washington 109-56. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Hornets are ranked 23rd).

Meanwhile, Bishop Kelley posted their biggest victory since December 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past Guthrie 63-38.

Bishop Kelley has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Shawnee, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
