Soccer Recap: Geraldine Takes a Loss

Geraldine fell victim to Collinsville and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 4-0 to the Collinsville Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Panthers are ranked 19th).

Geraldine now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Collinsville, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Geraldine will head out on the road to take on Sylvania at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Collinsville, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Whitesburg Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. Collinsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.
