Volleyball Recap: Animo Robinson Comes Up Short

If Animo Robinson was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Neuwirth Leadership Academy last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Monarchs came up short against the New Designs University Park Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Monarchs have suffered since February 25th.

While Animo Robinson ultimately came up short, they really made New Designs University Park work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 26-24, 25-20.

Animo Robinson has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for New Designs University Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Animo Robinson will venture away from home to take on Bernstein at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Designs University Park, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Horace Mann UCLA Community at 3:00 p.m. on the 21st.
