Softball Recap: Colmesneil Bulldogs vs. Woden Eagles
Colmesneil was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 16-2 to the Woden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Friday.
Colmesneil's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Woden, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.
Coming up, Colmesneil will square off against West Sabine at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Colmesneil has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Woden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Garrison at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Garrison has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.22 runs per game on average), something Woden will no doubt try to take advantage of.
