Yates got themselves on the board against Scarborough on Saturday, but Scarborough never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 50-0 victory over the Spartans. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won seven in a row.

A big part of Yates' victory came down to the chemistry between Chris Brown and his top target Jordan Simmons. Brown threw for 249 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes while Simmons gained 158 total yards and three touchdowns. Simmons showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 60 yards. Micheal Johnson also helped with two scores in total.

Yates' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Scarborough, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
