Softball Recap: Henley Takes a Loss

Henley and Astoria squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Henley had to settle for second. They came up short against the Fishermen, falling 8-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Hornets were not able to get on the board.

Henley's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Astoria, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Astoria beat Henley by a score of 8-0 later that day.
