Baseball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grant Pacers. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly three runs.

Diego Avalos-Daniels was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ashton Luckenbill, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Grant, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.

Coming up, Kennedy will venture away from home to take on Chavez at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Grant, they will be taking part in a tournament against Woodland at 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
