Volleyball Recap: Cedarburg Takes a Loss

Cedarburg was the 2-1 winner over Catholic Memorial when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Hannah Heitzkey paced Cedarburg's offense, picking up eight kills. Heitzkey were helped by Lucy Pahl and Therese Dreisbach, who contributed ten assists each. Emme Marshall controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Catholic Memorial was led to victory by Aubrie Gariety and Aldyn Visner. Gariety had eight digs and two aces, while Visner had six digs. That's the most digs Visner has posted over her last six matchups.

Cedarburg's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Catholic Memorial, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

Looking ahead, Cedarburg is taking a road trip to face off against Whitefish Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Catholic Memorial, they will be playing at home against Oak Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
