Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poultney). They came out on top against the Arlington Memorial Eagles by a score of 63-55 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Devils as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Poultney's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Arlington Memorial, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poultney and West Rutland will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Rutland will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Poultney surely won't give up without a fight. As for Arlington Memorial, they will take on Oxbow at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
