It was fun while it lasted, but Centennial's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Saturday. They fell just short of the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Centennial started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Chase Roberts paced Centennial's offense, picking up six kills. Roberts got some help from Ty Ahlstrom and his eight assists. Beckham Glover controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Centennial fell to 5-1. As for Canyon Crest Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, Centennial will be playing at home against Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games Centennial has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Canyon Crest Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Palo Verde on the 1st.
