Baseball Recap: Deering Rams vs. Thornton Academy Trojans
Deering had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-14 to make it four. They lost 9-0 to the Thornton Academy Trojans. The Rams were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.
As for Thornton Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games.
For Thornton Academy's part, Beck Edgerly tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. Edgerly has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
