Basketball Recap: Cromwell Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Cromwell came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.4 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Two Harbors Agates to the tune of 57-20. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Agates are ranked 304th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cromwell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shannon Lund out in front who posted 12 points and seven steals. The Cardinals are undefeated when Lund posts three or more steals, but 3-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Remington Olesiak, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 17 points and six boards.

Cromwell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2025.

Cromwell's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Two Harbors, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cromwell will host Chisholm at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Two Harbors, they will square off against Esko at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Agates will be up against the Eskomos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.87 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
