Basketball Game Preview: Winston Red Birds vs. North Harrison Shamrocks

The Winston Red Birds will square off against the North Harrison Shamrocks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Winston is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of Pattonsburg by a score of 54-52 on Monday. The Red Birds haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, North Harrison won against Breckenridge on Friday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. North Harrison snuck past Braymer/Breckenridge with a 59-53 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Shamrocks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

North Harrison's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Winston, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Winston was able to grind out a solid victory over North Harrison when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 31-18. Will Winston repeat their success, or does North Harrison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
