Softball Recap: Santa Fe Takes a Loss

Santa Fe lost against La Porte back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered since February 28th.

Santa Fe saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelyne Baulis, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for La Porte, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4-1.

When Santa Fe and La Porte next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Indians will take on Friendswood and their three-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, La Porte will try to stop Angleton's three-game winning streak when they meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.1, the Wildcats 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
