Volleyball Recap: Miller City Wildcats vs. Lincolnview Lancers
Miller City was the 3-0 winner over Lincolnview when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Miller City Wildcats fell just short of the Lincolnview Lancers by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lancers 25-22 in the first set.
Miller City started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-7.
Payton Michel and Libby Erford certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Michel had seven digs and 27 assists, while Erford had 13 digs and two aces. Michel is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 27 or more in the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Warnimont, who had 11 digs and 19 assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincolnview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauren Anspach, who had 21 digs and two aces. Allie Miller was another key player, getting 16 digs and three aces.
