Basketball Recap: Tracey Thompson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Carlisle

Mt. Enterprise's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Carlisle Indians by a score of 47-39. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mt. Enterprise's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tracey Thompson led the charge by putting up eight points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Thompson is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. Kaegan Ash was another key player, posting 18 points and seven rebounds.

Mt. Enterprise smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Mt. Enterprise's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Carlisle, they dropped their record down to 3-19 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Mt. Enterprise will head out to square off against Alto at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlisle, they will host Douglass at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglass will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Carlisle surely won't give up without a fight.
