Volleyball Game Preview: Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes vs. South Broward Bulldogs

The Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the South Broward Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Broward took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pompano Beach, who comes in off a win.

Pompano Beach is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Coral Springs. Pompano Beach blew past Coral Springs 3-0 on Tuesday.

Pompano Beach never let Coral Springs on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-16.

Gabriel Souza was nothing short of spectacular: he had 16 digs and three aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, South Broward unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to Archbishop McCarthy on Tuesday.

South Broward actually scored more points across those four sets (96-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 28-26, 13-25, 25-23, 25-22.
