Baseball Recap: Weleetka Victorious

The Weleetka Outlaws had just enough and edged out the Morris Eagles 4-3 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Outlaws.

Weleetka's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Morris, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weleetka will host Webbers Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Webbers Falls has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.08 runs per game on average), something Weleetka will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Morris, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beggs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Beggs' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Morris' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
