League recap: Hall extends winning streak with victory over Manchester

Central Connecticut I West recap November 13, 2013

Hall added to the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut I West this week by beating Manchester, 43-8. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

Southington took down East Hartford 55-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Stephen Barmore threw for 188 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 108 yards during the win.

Hall's dynamic duo of Tom Honyotski and Rob Parra proved to be unstoppable against the Indians, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Honyotski threw for 219 yards and 3 touchdowns and Parra had 137 yards receiving. Octovio Thomas helped Hall's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 40 yards.

He went 14-24 with 1 interception.

Barmore was a passing and rushing force as the Blue Knights defeated the Hornets. Barmore's favorite target this week was Alex Jamele, who caught 3 passes for 83 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Southington's Barmore and Jamele have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Barmore has thrown for 1,981 yards this season, while Jamele has 52 catches for 1,088 yards. Simsbury's Brad Helmkamp leads the league in rushing yards with 947.

Helmkamp of the the Trojans is just 53 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 143 carries Helmkamp has put up 947 yards this year.

Going into this week's game against South Windsor, Mike Drury's team's Barmore needs 19 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.

Frank H. Robinson Iii's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,899 from 2,213. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 43-8 victory over Manchester last week.
