While McKinney Boyd won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17.

The win got McKinney Boyd back to even at 1-1. As for John Paul II, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, McKinney Boyd will be taking part in a tournament against Lovejoy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for John Paul II, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Birdville at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
