Football Recap: Aurora Huskies vs. McCook Bison
Aurora was the 32-10 winner over McCook when they last played one another back in October of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Aurora Huskies received a blow on Friday as they fell 33-14 to the McCook Bison. The Huskies were down 33-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Tristan Campbell was a one-man wrecking crew for McCook as he rushed for 254 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards. Another back making a difference was Ethan Schmidt, who rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Aurora's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for McCook, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Aurora will face off against Wahoo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McCook, they will challenge Waverly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
