Baseball Recap: Locust Fork Comes Up Short

Locust Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Vinemont Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-1 loss on Tuesday.

Landon Keith put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Keith was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Locust Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Vinemont, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Locust Fork has already played their next match (against Southeastern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Vinemont, they have also already played their next game, an 11-1 victory against Dora on the 3rd.
