Softball Recap: Lytle Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dilley last Friday, Lytle came back down to earth. The Pirates took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hondo Owls on Tuesday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Owls earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Giselle Esparza was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was ADDISON CRIADO, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Lytle has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11-1 record this season. As for Hondo, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-10.

As of now, neither Lytle nor the Owls have any future games scheduled.
