Basketball Recap: Adryean Mapps Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

There's no place like home for Cooper, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 50-41 victory over the Yantis Owls on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-47 back in December of 2024.

Cooper's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adryean Mapps led the charge by going 6 for 13 on his way to 15 points. That's the most points Mapps has posted since back in December of 2024. Devin Dial was another key player, going 7 of 15 en route to 15 points and six boards.

Cooper smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Cooper is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Yantis, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 20-9.
