Softball Recap: Fowler Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ovid-Elsie

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fowler). They put the hurt on the Ovid-Elsie Marauders with a sharp 22-5 victory on Thursday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Fowler is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Ovid-Elsie, they moved to 14-17-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Fowler will venture away from home to square off against Western at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ovid-Elsie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
