It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Broadwater Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers 3-2. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 12-3 win the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Ramsey Revelle spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, Broadwater Academy let Tatum Watson and Adrianna Holloway run wild. Watson went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Holloway scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Broadwater Academy and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Isle of Wight Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Broadwater Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Chincoteague at 4:00 p.m. on March 26th. As for Isle of Wight Academy, they will welcome Fredericksburg Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
