Baseball Recap: San Luis Obispo Tigers vs. Morro Bay Pirates
San Luis Obispo was the 6-3 winner over Morro Bay when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell 8-5 to the Pirates on Tuesday.
San Luis Obispo got a good showing from Josh Wilson, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Parker Wyatt and Gabe Vigil did some serious damage despite the final result: Wyatt went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Vigil got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Noah Soderin also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
San Luis Obispo's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Morro Bay, they pushed their record up to 22-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
