After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Point, Cesar Chavez was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Liberty Lions 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Champions have posted since March 20, 2025.

Cesar Chavez's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Zade Munoz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

The win got Cesar Chavez back to even at 3-3. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cesar Chavez will challenge Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Champions will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Liberty, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Kofa at 3:45 p.m.
