Cole is 9-1 against Marion since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Cole Cougars will head out to square off against the Marion Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Cole knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Marion likes a good challenge.

Cole is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Young Women's Leadership Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Cole blew Young Women's Leadership Academy out of the water with a 68-27 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cougars had established a 30 point advantage.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marion, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They rang in the new year with a 51-42 victory over Young Women's Leadership Academy on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cole has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-13 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Marion, their record is now 4-16.

Cole took their victory against Marion in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 51-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cole since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
