Carson Crider looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, Aramis Perez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Ethan Brittain was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rolesville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out East Wake 11-10. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rams needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Carson Ashoo looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Rolesville: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-10 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Max Liriano, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Carter DeSilva, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
Rolesville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.
Rolesville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for Wake Forest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.
Rolesville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Wake Forest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .461. It's a different story for Rolesville, though, as they've only averaged .346. Will they be able to contain Wake Forest's hitters?
