Soccer Game Preview: San Luis vs. Sunnyside

San Luis is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Sunnyside is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The San Luis Sidewinders will host the Sunnyside Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Luis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

On Friday, San Luis had just enough and edged Cibola out 3-2. The Sidewinders better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Armando Favela, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sunnyside). They blew past Rincon/University 10-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Blue Devils have won ten matchups by more than three goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sunnyside has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 77 goals over those 13 games. As for San Luis, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
