Volleyball Recap: Shyann Herring Key Part of Team Effort in Golden Bears Win

There's no place like home for Turner, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the McLouth Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Golden Bears as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Turner not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept McLouth between 17 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Turner to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shyann Herring, who had 17 digs. That's the most digs Herring has posted over her last eight matchups. Izzy Cox was another key player, getting four digs and four aces.

Turner's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for McLouth, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14-2.

Turner didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Bishop Ward on the 25th. McLouth has also already played their next contest (against Oswego), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
