Baseball Game Preview: Bloomingdale Cardinals vs. Lawrence Tigers

Bloomingdale is 1-9 against Lawrence since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Cardinals will face off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Bloomingdale has given up an average of 15.1 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bloomingdale is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 20-10 to Marcellus. On the bright side, the ten- run effort marked the Cardinals' highest-scoring match to date.

Meanwhile, Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 25th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Decatur, falling 25-0.

Bloomingdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lawrence, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Everything went Bloomingdale's way against Lawrence in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Bloomingdale made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
