Volleyball Recap: Crislyn Birge's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Opp over Luverne + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Opp challenged Luverne on Monday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Opp actually scored more points across those five sets (108-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 19-25, 25-23, 26-24, 15-11.

Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Crislyn Birge, who had 12 digs and four assists.

Opp's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Luverne, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Opp is taking a road trip to take on Andalusia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Luverne, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Charles Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
