Basketball Recap: Mooresville Christian's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Colonial Christian on Friday, Mooresville Christian came back down to earth. The Mooresville Christian Eagles fell to the Monrovia Bulldogs 47-43. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 75-67 to them when the teams met on Saturday, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Mooresville Christian lost, don't look at Gresh Warren. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points along with seven boards and four steals. Warren's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Harrison Craney was another key player, putting up eight points.

Monrovia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hayden Mccloud out in front who went 6 for 9 en route to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Najera, who earned nine points and five boards.

Mooresville Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4. As for Monrovia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mooresville Christian has already played their next matchup (against International), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Monrovia will look to defend their home court on Friday against South Putnam at 7:30 p.m. South Putnam has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
