Baseball Recap: Tiverton Triumphs

Tiverton's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Classical Purple a 20-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Kamryn Rego made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. Rego was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Nate Tavares was incredible, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3. Noah Mercer was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

The win got Tiverton back to even at 1-1.

Tiverton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-1 loss against Case on the 4th. As for Classical, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-2 defeat against Mt. Pleasant on the 4th.
