Basketball Game Preview: Shenandoah Zeps vs. Frontier Cougars

The Shenandoah Zeps and the Frontier Cougars will round out the year against one another at at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shenandoah is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.

Shenandoah is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Paden City: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Shenandoah blew Paden City out of the water with a 65-11 final score. The Zeps have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Shenandoah found their leader in sophomore Emily Moore, who posted 13 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Moore is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brenna Leach, who had 15 points.

Meanwhile, Frontier strolled past Magnolia with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 41-23. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Frontier's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Shenandoah, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-3.

Things could have been worse for Shenandoah, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-35 loss to Frontier when the teams last played back in January.
