The Cathedral Phantoms will face off against the St. Anthony Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Cathedral's tournament run continued when they took on Terra Nova on Friday. The Phantoms fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-7.

Vincent Velarde put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other pitching news, Cathedral got a good showing from Aaron Ponce, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest earned runs Ponce has allowed since back in February.
Back at the plate, Victor Galvez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Devin Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, St. Anthony fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Burroughs on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-3.
Like Cathedral, St. Anthony also got a great game from a two-way player: Jaylen Butler. On the mound, Butler tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Anthony Valdez pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. At bat, Butler went 3-for-4 with one double, while Valdez went 2-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Marc James got St. Anthony off to a strong start despite the final result, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.
Cathedral's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for St. Anthony, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6-1.
Cathedral suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to St. Anthony in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Phantoms avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
