Softball Recap: Metro-East Lutheran's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Metro-East Lutheran came into Wednesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let the East St. Louis Flyers get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Metro-East Lutheran's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Weber, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI Weber has posted since back in April of 2024.

Metro-East Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for East St. Louis, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Metro-East Lutheran didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-3 loss against Father McGivney Catholic on the 24th. As for East St. Louis, they will take on Triad at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
