Softball Recap: Ahoskie Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Suffolk Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ahoskie Christian). They blew past the Suffolk Christian Academy Knights 22-7 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but Ahoskie Christian sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Braelyn Chamblee and Lauren Dickens did most of the damage at the plate: Chamblee went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs, while Dickens went 2-for-3 with five RBI and two runs. Those five RBI gave Dickens a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Jordan, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Ahoskie Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .853. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Ahoskie Christian pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Suffolk Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
