Basketball Recap: Watertown Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Watertown had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 60-45 bruising from the Sauk Prairie Eagles on Tuesday. The Goslings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Several Goslings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Calvin Timmel, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 14 points. Kaden Medina was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Coming up, Watertown will square off against Waukesha South at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sauk Prairie, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fort Atkinson at 7:15 p.m. on December 5.
