Softball Game Preview: Travelers Rest Devildogs vs. Greer Yellow Jackets

The Travelers Rest Devildogs will head out to square off against the Greer Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Travelers Rest has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Travelers Rest fell victim to Seneca and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 12-0 to the Bobcats. The Devildogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Greer had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They and Riverside finished up their game with a 7-7 draw on Thursday. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Yellow Jackets have been dealt a draw since back in February.

Greer's draw gives them a new season record of 2-9-2. As for Travelers Rest, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Travelers Rest couldn't quite get it done against Greer in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 7-3. Can the Devildogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
