Softball Recap: Twelve Bridges Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Twelve Bridges had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They put the hurt on the Del Campo Cougars with a sharp 16-8 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-5 back in April.

Callie Kosmides made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Twelve Bridges got a massive performance out of Lexi Bright, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lucia Cantarhina, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Twelve Bridges kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Twelve Bridges pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of three runs across that stretch. As for Del Campo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Twelve Bridges will take on rival Roseville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Del Campo is set to square off against their familiar foe River Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
