Baseball Recap: Cohasset Takes a Loss

Cohasset had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-6 to make it nine. They fell just short of the Sandwich Blue Knights by a score of 7-6. The Skippers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Knights from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Cohasset saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Konradt, who went 2-for-4 with one double. That double marked the first that Konradt has hit this season.

As for Sandwich, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games.

On Sandwich's side, the team relied heavily on Drew Peters, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. James Niemiec was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cohasset will face off against Middleborough at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sandwich, they will host Nauset Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
