Basketball Game Preview: Ross Rams vs. Franklin Wildcats

The Ross Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Franklin Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Ross is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Last Monday, Ross didn't have too much trouble with Wyoming as they won 42-27. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Cowboys are ranked 436th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Franklin came into Monday's matchup having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 32-31 victory over Edgewood.

Ross pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Franklin, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12.

Everything came up roses for Ross against Franklin in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 59-18 win. In that game, Ross amassed a halftime lead of 41-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
