Softball Recap: Sonora Comes Up Short

Sonora made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Villa Park, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Raiders fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost three in a row.

Samantha Jaimes was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Olivia Rosales also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Sonora's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Villa Park, their record now sits at 10-13.
