Soccer Game Preview: Danville vs. Richwoods

Danville is 0-8-1 against Richwoods since May of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Vikings will head out to challenge the Knights at 6:00 p.m.

Danville's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Peoria 9-0. It was an even better day for Reese Rundle as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Richwoods and Pekin finished up their game with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Danville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five matches. Richwoods' draw gives them a new season record of 13-5-5.

Danville might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Richwoods in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
